The letter doesn’t start with the usual format; maybe because it’s not a usual letter! You have been playing multiple roles consequently in my life. You’re my midnight ice-cream partner and so as a person who feels sleepy at 11pm only; you get the same shopping vibes like me while accompanying me in the malls and also someone who reminds me savings should be done on happier things maybe beyond mere shopping; you’re more enthusiastic in all my hobbies and the constant planner of my schedules as often I mess up badly; you are the world’s best biryani cook and a person to hop one restaurant to another ; you’re my 3am friend who chats with me endlessly in any lame topic and also you’re the alarm clock of the priority action items on the next day!!

You have been quite careful in defining friendship to me as friendship doesn’t mean to comply in all the deeds, instead it means an honest guiding notion to whatever may happen. Maa, thank you for being strict on one hand while guiding me in hard times and also becoming the support system to empower me by saying “I’m with you but you should be aware of the foreseeable consequences”! You’ve established wider perspective of freedom in my life and become the greatest teacher above all. You’ve believed in me when I have almost lost hope in myself; you’re my backbone of the system and the charming happiness of my life. You have celebrated my failures and made me feel there are ample number of alternatives as there is nothing absolute and to be obsessed about! Maa, you have used all the colours to draw the horizon and often you and me, we both fly really high in our sky.
