The Gloomy Guilt

The guilt starts from the first sip of morning tea and one can find it even in the dark clouds which surpass every boundary of the sky. Wait a minute…”one can find”? in reality, we love patterns; we love to find pattern in everything and so one actually seeks for it. We deeply believe everything is governed by some crude algorithm that always balances left hand side of the equation to the right side of it. The algorithm even if we are not aware of it, we feel so secure in convincing ourselves that it exists. We benevolently take decisions and at that very moment we feel confident about our actions knowing the fact it may make upset our loved ones; though it’s the individuality that speaks and we move forward. We cherish the sense of motivation and our hearts provide assurance that the great things would be done finally even if some costs are involved. However maybe after certain point of time or maybe after quite a long journey the sense of “pay back” encroaches our minds and we readily start observing not-so-good and bad things as the cost we incurred through that unknown governance. Suddenly that algorithm explains everything and we again believe in the payback procedure for pursuing the deepest desires. Our conscience blends with persistent uncertainty and illusion provides security; our sense of eternity confronts with optimal solace and guilt finds its own gloomy way!
