That Tricky Traveler

She stared at the sea for sometime and her usual steady melancholy was creating a resonance with the sound of waves. Her conscious mind being not so conscious, was dwelling into an unobstructed pause. The wind was almost non-existent and she was observant in apprehending sounds of the surroundings. Suddenly a storm emerged and she could spot a car moving hastily. The traveler exchanged a glance and asked her about the nearby fuel pump. She assisted him to the fuel pump and after sometime she figured out that even though they did share a huge mutual friend circle, she never met him before. The conversations were as fluent as the passing time. The traveler took her for a short ride. She was always skeptical about speed ever since her childhood and steady solace had been her home. She was nervous but surprisingly not skeptical this time. The speed was quite high and the music was driving the whole momentum. She embraced the finest blend of speed and music; and for a prolonged moment she was flying with all her heart and she could only hear the prominent sound of her heartbeats. The massive intensity in the traveler’s eyes was vibrant with the speed and he was definitely living on the edge while being oblivious to every other thing. Was that happiness which smashed her melancholy? “No”, she realized; it was the striking reality that embarked upon her conscience. She was rediscovered by the traveler to her own self. They laughed, they cherished, they vibed with each other.

“The ride ended before it even started”: the traveler said. She was astonished “did that really happen?”.

Her ecstasy glorified the atmosphere and the reality was intriguing. She couldn’t withdraw herself from asking “where are you from and most importantly how does it even possible that you know so many people and I have never heard about you before?”

The traveler smiled;

 “Well, I belong to the mountains sometime; have you heard about cosmic mystery?”

“Who are you?”

“They think I am a time traveler, for you I can be your all time Uber, maybe?” 😊

    Bring me home in a blinding dream
    Through the secrets that I have seen
    Wash the sorrow from off my skin
    Show me how to be whole again.
